The presentation will focus on:\n      * The upcoming release of the National BIM Standard\, V2. What is this standard and how will it impact the AECO Industry?  \n\n        * What training programs will be available through bSa?\n\n        * The use of Building Information Models (BIM) for Energy Analysis\, LEED\, and Facility Management.\n\n     \n  Speaker: Birgitta Foster\n    Birgitta Foster\, (BSME\, MBA)\, formally Facilities BIM Champion for Sandia National Labs (NM)\, is a\n  leading authority and presenter on BIM for Owners. With a focus on uses of BIM beyond construction\,\n  Birgitta has become increasingly aware of how BIM can help Owner’s with post construction activities\n  such as Operations and Maintenance\, Space Planning\, and Asset Management. Since receiving her\n  BSME from the University of Texas - Austin\, Birgitta career has encompassed working for an equipment\n  manufacturer\, Engineering/Construction firm\, assembler/fabricator\, General Contractor\, and for\n  an Owner. It was during her time in Facilities when Birgitta began to focus on BIM for Facilities Management\, and still continues today. Recently Birgitta became the Assisting Director for buildingSMART alliance (bSa)\n  bringing the Owner perspective and visions to the organization.\n     \n   \n  Open to the public.
